Carla Thamm
COSA's Survivorship Fellowship program was established in 2020 to help build capacity in survivorship research. Fellows receive mentorship, guidance and support from the Survivorship Executive Committee comprised of internationally renowned senior clinicians and researchers in cancer survivorship. Dr Carla Thamm was one of four Survivorship Fellows appointed in 2022. Prof Gail Garvey and Dr Shafkat Jahan were her primary co-mentors.

Quantifying cancer healthcare costs for adolescents and young adults in Queensland, Australia
This Fellowship project aimed to quantify health service use and out-of-pocket costs for adolescents and young adults with cancer in Queensland over time, and focused on:
Diversity across First Nations and Non-First Nations people
Diversity in different geographical and sociodemographic settings
Differences in cancer diagnosis and age
